The rudimentary conception of the electron given to us by Maxwell allowed for the ingenious manipulation of particles, raising the individual’s awareness of the world and others to unfathomable heights. So what’s left? FTL travel? Teleportation? Artificial consciousness? Or perhaps, like the World Wide Web, an invention whose conception cannot predate its creation.
